Alvanon president Gribbin transitions to senior advisor role
IAF treasurer and Alvanon president Ed Gribbin transitions to senior advisor role to the Alvanon leadership team.
Alvanon, a global company of latest innovations and technologies for apparel organisations, has announced that after twelve years, seven as president, apparel veteran Ed Gribbin will transition to senior advisor role for the leadership team. He will be president until March 31, 2018, when he will launch Gribbin Strategic, his new boutique consultancy firm.
Gribbin will remain a part of Alvanon in a new role as senior advisor to the leadership team. Ed will continue to serve on numerous industry boards on behalf of Alvanon, including the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA); the International Apparel Federation (IAF); SPESA (Sewn Products Equipment Suppliers of the Americas); AAPN (Americas Apparel Producers Network); the University of Delaware’s Fashion Studies Advisory Council; and The Robin Report.
Alvanon chief executive Janice Wang said, “Alvanon has undergone an incredible transformation since 2006 and Ed has been instrumental to the company’s success in that period. Ed proved pivotal in transforming Alvanon from the industry’s leading provider of technical fit forms to a global innovations company shaping the future of fit. We’re excited to have him stay on as Senior Advisor and wish him continued success in his next venture.”
Gribbin said, “The last 12 years working with the Wang family, our team of recognised industry experts and our wonderful clients have been the most fulfilling in my career. I feel like I have another chapter to write, though, so I am starting Gribbin Strategic to address the needs of any company struggling to grow, compete, or even survive in this rapidly changing world.”
