- The 30th edition of Colombiatex de las Américas, with the theme of “Open Your Eyes”, will take place at Plaza Mayor Medellín during January 23-25, 2018.
- More than 550 national and international exhibitors, and close to 15,800 buyers are preparing to open the business agenda of the Textile-Garment sector in 2018.
- Brazil will be the guest country, invited to empower the Fashion System, get acquainted with the Colombian offer, and generate new opportunities.
Colombiatex de las Américas prepares its 30th edition as a stage to link supply and demand of the Textile-Garment sector, affording various and innovative moments of connection between entrepreneurs, buyers, and those passionate of the Fashion System on January 23-25, 2018 at Plaza Mayor.
The most important commercial showcase of the Textile-Garment sector of Latin America in regards to textiles, specialized solutions, supplies, chemicals, and machinery, will gather more than 550 national and international exhibitors. With close to 15,800 buyers from approximately 60 countries of the world and more than 22,000 visitors, the Trade Show will be a time of meeting for other audiences such as entrepreneurs, producers, marketers, managers of design, marketing, and the complete value chain of retail companies, students, reknowned Colombian designers, and important communication media.
The participation of Brazil as guest country at the Trade Show—a very relevant visit, as the commercial relationship between both countries in the Textile-Garment sector is active–will be a reality thanks to the support of Texbrasil, ABIT, and Apex-brasil. Colombian imports in 2016 were registered at $40 million USD, a 5% increase over the previous year, a fact that represents great opportunities for market expansion, stimulated additionally by the revision of the Mercosur Agreement, and creating more opportunites to close business deals between both countries, uniting their strengths to empower the region’s industry.
