IFCO Will Bring Together in Istanbul the Guides of Guides of Global Fashion in 5 Continents
IFCO that is the largest apparel and fashion exhibition of Europe, which was organized in February 2024 for the fifth time, has been making broad preparations for its new season on August 07-09, 2024. It will host product groups, brands, and trend areas in 4 halls on an area of 30 Thousand square meters. Apparel and Fashion Exhibition IFCO that will be organized at Istanbul Expo Center is organized by İTKİB Fuarcılık A.Ş. that is a subsidiary of İstanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB).
IFCO that will bring together 300 companies in all product groups, from women’s, men’s and children’s clothing to denim and sportswear, from leather and fur apparel to shoes, will also host thousands of distinguished visitors in Istanbul in addition to hosted buyers from more than 100 countries with high trade volume in the industry.
“IFCO MUST BE ACCEPTED AS A HIGH-PROFILE EXHIBITION”
Deputy Chairman of İHKİB, Mustafa Paşahan said: “Our industry dreamed of an exhibition such as IFCO for many years. We are talking about a study that could not be brought into light during the previous terms, actually for 30 years. We received many negative comments such as ‘you cannot do it,’ ‘that will not work out’ when we set out. However, we brought together all stakeholders in our industry and succeeded in doing what could not be done. Today, we are proud to have created a brand such as IFCO. Organized for the 6th time this season IFCO became the largest Apparel and Fashion Exhibition in Europe. It received 50% official support when it was initially organized and succeeded at occupying a high ranking in the calendar of international exhibitions.
We broke record during the last IFCO by hosting 38 thousand 543 visitors approximately half of which were foreigners from 159 countries. These are major achievements for both our industry and our country.
Last year we took our companies to 20 exhibitions from USA to Paris with national participation organized by İHKİB. Also, in 2023 we organized 21 trade missions. Some fairs we exhibited in Europe are classified as high-profile exhibitions. Now we believe that IFCO deserves to be classified as a high-profile exhibition. We informed Ministry of Trade of our idea. When IFCO will be considered as a high profile exhibition, the upper limit of financial support will increase. In addition, our companies will find exhibiting at fairs such as IFCO more attractive than exhibiting at fairs abroad.
İstanbul is an Ideal Center for the Industry
Türkiye’s capital of fashion, İstanbul is an ideal center to bring together trends, fashion, design, trade, and cooperations. In fact, it has been taking major steps towards becoming the capital of fashion. İHKİB targets opening a new era in apparels sector with IFCO that will present this lively center to the entire world. Exhibitors of IFCO that will be organized on a total area of 30 thousand square meters will come together with hosted buyers of thousands of companies coming from particularly EU countries, Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), North Africa, and the Middle East.”

IFCO will contribute to presentation of exhibitors their collections and designs to new locations and customers through buyers coming from all around the world. Turkish designers are at The Core İstanbul
At IFCO exhibition visitors will visit the Core İstanbul area that is spared exclusively for Turkish fashion designers to examine the latest trend designs of Turkish fashion designers. The Core İstanbul at IFCO Exhibition brings together Pioneer fashion designers and apparel brands of Türkiye with international buyers, allowing brands and designers to transform their collections into trade activity and attracts high interest of visitors. In this season, IFCO welcomes more than 20 Turkish fashion designers including Arzu KAPROL, Meltem ÖZBEK, Tuba ERGİN.

At brands special section of IFCO, companies that create brands at apparel industry, export to various points in the world, and that come forward with their collections take place. IFCO, which has hosted many local brands with the capacity to export all over the world in previous years, will be the meeting point of Naramaxx, B&G Store, Kayra, Jakamen, Giotelli, Armine, NCS, 7Camicie brands this season.

İMA is preparing the Trend Area with ‘’Ascension SS 26’’Thema
Pioneer fashion training platform of today and tomorrow, İstanbul Fashion Academy continues its activities blending design, trends, and creativity at the center of fashion and apparel industry. The Academy serves as the fashion center that follows, announces, and applies current developments the first. It has been designing Trend Area of IFCO Exhibition for the last 5 years and assumed the same duty in the sixth season. The Trend Area prepared with the theme ‘Ascension SS 26’ deals with 4 main trends. The works that want to stay in the power of now, in the awareness of the moment, more conscious, emphasising cultural identities and the reality questioned in the process of adaptation to new developments and the works created by the industry with this design language will be presented
IFCO Activities Bring Fashion Together with Information
Fashion shows organized at the exhibition, seminars, fashion show that keep the pulse of the industry, B2B area introducing foreign buyers to exhibitors and many other activities make IFCO ever more appealing. IFCO prepares to undersign even more assertive activities in the new season, presenting a catchier exhibition experience in a different atmosphere. Themes of seminars where all developments in the fashion industry will be covered will be transferred with latest fashion trends.
