Fur Gala Fair Kicks Off in Beijing
BEIJING FUR 2016, a leading fur fair bridging fur manufacturers and professional buyers, opens door today at National Agriculture Exhibition Center. Close to 100 exhibitors from all around the world present their latest collection to woo buyers from fur shops, fashion companies and lifestyle stores.
The fair is organized by China Fur Association and has enjoyed wide support from the fur and fashion industry since its inception in late 2015. 40 fur companies signed up to be its shareholders, giving it a unique and efficient operational model.
China has as long a history of producing and using fur as its civilization. The industry has grown extremely fast since the 1990s, and by now China has become the manufacturing center for fur garments, and boasts one of the largest fur consumption markets in the world. Moreover, fur farming has become an important and integral part of the Chinese agricultural industry. The fur industry employs millions of people in China.
BEIJING FUR 2016 aims to present the value of fur as it deserves. Fur is no longer the long, heavy garment in the old days; it’s chic and trendy, thanks to the development of techniques and design, while still highly valued by value-conscious consumers. No wonder fur has become a mainstay in the collections of many fashion and luxury brands.
Mr. Tian Hong, secretary general of China Fur Association, says: “BEIJNG FUR 2016 aims to become a new beacon for global fur and fashion industry. We work hard to tap the intrinsic values of fur, which are best exemplified by the amazing collections and unique concepts shown by all the booths. The fur industry keeps re-inventing itself, and will keep contributing to social and economic development.”
The fair will last for three days, until May 18. True to its slogan: Fur, the VIP (Value Intensive Proposition), the fair also presents a wide range of activities, including a gala night to celebrate the achievements of the fur industry and present the 2016-2017 fur fashion trend, and various seminars.
