Credits: FashionUnited ai Consumer prices (August) Mexico's annual inflation rose to 3.26 percent in August 2026 from 3.12 percent in July, according to Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). Prices in the Ropa y calzado (clothing and footwear) division rose 2.16 percent year-on-year, up from 1.60 percent in July, and remained below headline inflation. On the month, clothing and footwear prices rose 0.57 percent, while core inflation stood at 3.88 percent.

Clothing and footwear prices rose 1.2 percent YoY, down from 2.4 percent in July, and remained below headline inflation. Clothing prices fell 1.1 percent YoY after rising 0.9 percent in July, StatCan said.
