Texbrasil Drives Brazilian Textile and Apparel Companies on the Global Stage
Abit aims to take 76 companies to three international trade fairs in the first two months of the year.
Led by the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Abit) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Texbrasil Program (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) supports textile and apparel companies in developing strategies to conquer the global market.
Over more than 20 years, Texbrasil has assisted approximately 1,900 brands in beginning their export journey, generating USD 9 billion in business and organizing over 7,000 initiatives, including more than 500 editions of international fairs.
In the first two months of 2025, the Program plans to support 76 textile and apparel companies at trade shows across Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Here is the upcoming schedule:
Colombiatex
From January 28 to 30, Texbrasil will support a group of 36 Brazilian companies, standing out as the delegation occupying the largest area at the event. The showcase will include a diverse range of products, such as cotton woven fabrics, elastane filaments, and non-woven fabrics, with an emphasis on innovative and sustainable solutions. To enhance the Brazilian presence, a Brazil Pavilion will be located at the main entrance of the event, showcasing all the latest innovations.
Première Vision Paris
Première Vision is one of the most prestigious international textile trade shows for the textile industry, recognized as an essential meeting point for brands and professionals. It features a wide range of exhibitors and products, covering the latest innovations and trends in fabrics, yarns, leathers, accessories, and designs. From February 11 to 13, 2025, 16 Brazilian brands will participate in the delegation, showcasing their creativity and innovation. To strengthen the Brazilian presence, a dedicated Brazilian lounge will be positioned at the Fabric´s Hall, highlighting the main products launched by our brands at the event.
Coterie
From February 18 to 20, Coterie – one of the most relevant fashion trade shows in the USA, will take place in New York City. The event serves as a strategic hub for brands to establish connections and capture new markets through seasonal launches in casual fashion, accessories, and footwear. In the upcoming edition, Texbrasil will sponsor 23 Brazilian exhibitors. Our initiatives reinforce its commitment to promoting Brazilian products on the global market, fostering commercial partnerships, encouraging innovation, and positioning the Brazilian industry competitively on the international stage.

ABIT strengthens the sector’s commitment to decarbonizing Brazilian fashion
The Brazilian Association of Textile and Apparel Industry (Abit) will participate in the 11th OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector, which will take place on February 11-12 in Paris. The event will discuss the mandatory implementation of due diligence in the sector and will feature an extensive agenda of virtual side sessions, organized by various global stakeholders.
Abit is organizing the side session “The Brazilian Decarbonization League: enhancing fashion value chain integration through climate commitment”, which will take place on February 13, from 14:00 to 15:30 (CET).
The session will bring together major national and international companies to discuss the importance of decarbonizing the fashion value chain. In addition to moderating the panel, Abit will present the Decarbonization League, an initiative launched in September 2024 with the goal of engaging companies in the climate agenda.
It is worth mentioning that Brazil stands out for its unique conditions, positioning it in a privileged situation with regard to low industrial emissions due to the predominance of renewable energy sources. Currently, about 75% of the energy consumed by the Brazilian textile industry comes from renewable sources, with more than 67% generated from electricity.
Participants from around the world will have the opportunity to learn about the actions and challenges faced by major companies with a presence in Brazil as they work to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and build a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.
