IFCO Brought Together The Shapers of Global Fashion in Istanbul

The successful sixth edition of IFCO Istanbul Fashion Connection took place from 7 to 9 August 2024 with 17.925 visitors. At IFCO, 300 exhibitors met 6.259 international trade visitors from 121 countries in a total of 4 halls at the Istanbul Expo Centre. 35% of visitors came from 121 countries and 65% of visitors came from Türkiye. The largest group of foreign visitors came from the Asia (35,8%), Middle East (31,3%), Europe 16,4%), North Africa (13,4%), North America, South America and Africa (3,1%) total of visitors came from foreign countries.
President of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and (İHKİB) İstanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB), Mustafa Gültepe said global brands demonstrated high interest in IFCO. Gültepe emphasized that having approximately more than 6 thousand buyers from over 100 countries in Istanbul is significant at a time.

Türkiye is different in the sector with design power, speed, high-quality production and proximity to a large market such as Europe. The Turkish apparel sector, which is the 3rd largest exporter in Europe and the 6th largest in the world. Apparel and textile sector total exports 30 billion dollars a year. Our clothing brands have more than 3 thousand stores in over 100 countries. We construct all our strategies and game plans accordingly. As apparel sector our companies are skilled on design, innovation, branding and green transformation.”

In 4 halls on 30,000 sqm top designers and brands presented the latest fashion trends in womenswear, menswear, kidswear, denim, activewear and shoes in clearly divided product areas.
The Core İstanbul, the exclusive designer area of the trade staged the Turkish design talents at the IFCO. Over 20 designers presented their latest creations in hall 7, 2be4a – Ayşegül Konukoğlu, A Piece of Work – Ezgi Karayel, Arzu Kaprol, Aylin Çetinkaya, Be Oz – Sinem Özusta, Bianco e Nero – Gamze Satgan, Essin Barış, EynaCo, Helin Aydoğan, HEVA, Meltem Aybar, Meltem Özbek, Mert Erkan, Nazlı Terzioğlu, Özlem Erkan, Safarah World – Ece Erigi, Ryder Act, Selin Küçüksöz, SHYZ Wear – Seydullah Yılmaz, SYGA – Gönül Altunışık, Tuba Ergin, Urban Muse, Viola & Vesper who are represented internationally.
Market leaders and retail brands such as B&G Store, Jakamen, Giotelli, Armine, NCS, 7Camicie used IFCO as a global platform to network with international industry leaders and expanded their customer contacts, presented their individual stand designs.

IFCO’s Sixth Edition Draws Nearly 18,000 Visitors
The sixth edition of IFCO welcomed 17,925 visitors, further solidifying its position as a premier international hub for the fashion industry. The event attracted top-tier international buyers, including Lulus, Love Shack Fancy, Rebecca Taylor, Clark Sabbat, Diane Von Furstenberg Studio, and Telfar from the United States, Alshaya International Co. L.L.C (Kuwait), New Look Retailers Limited (UK), Matalan Retail Ltd. (UK), Ssense Ltd (UK), Namshi Fashion Trading L.L.C (UAE), V-Mart Retail Limited (India), as well as the Lunelli Group and Matergea from Colombia, and Mexico’s largest chain store, Chedraui. All these brands seized the opportunities presented by IFCO’s B2B meetings and networking possibilities.
IFCO EVENTS
The co-operation with the renowned Fashion Designer’s Association (MTD) for the IFCO. Trend Area will be continued with this time’s theme Ascension SS 26 creatively designed by IMA Istanbul Fashion Academia. Through the power of the present moment and the conscious experience of the moment, the emphasis was placed on cultural identities. At the same time, the scrutinized reality that is revealed in the process of adapting to new developments is taken into account. The works created by the industry with this design language reflect this dynamic.
WGSN provide information on the latest international men and women fashion trends and developments for A/W 25/26. Next to this trend seminar fashion industry experts discussed recent innovations in digital art and fashion, new opportunities in fashion exports as well as the new face of Turkish fashion. A panel discussion was dedicated to the topic of denim and focuses on pioneering solutions for the new century in the denim industry.
IFCO Fashion Show presented a fashion feast to fashion watcher and provided a diverse array of the latest trends and designs, bringing unique and creative visions to life and inspiring the fashion world with fresh, innovative ideas.
The IFCO B2B event was a highly anticipated opportunity for brands to engage in efficient and dynamic networking sessions between manufacturers and buyers. By facilitating quick, impactful connections, it aims to foster successful business relationships, enable fruitful collaborations, and drive growth within the industry.
