Interloop is Pakistan’s first major company to have its emissions reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)

In FY2023, the company mitigated over 29,029 metric tonnes of emissions through strategic initiatives including adoption of biomass fuel, solar power, and energy-efficient infrastructure.

Its latest Sustainability Report for 2023 offers a comprehensive overview of the company’s data-driven approach and progress towards 2025 goals. A strong governance is ensured through a dedicated ESG committee and quarterly reporting on sustainability initiatives.

Looking ahead, Interloop remains committed to its long-term goals, including exploring carbon markets, expanding its LEED footprint, optimising operational efficiency, transitioning to low-emission fuels, and increasing renewable energy adoption. Collaborative efforts with supply chain partners are underway to develop a collective roadmap for emissions reduction across all scopes.
