Brazilian Fashion Makes its Mark at International Trade Fairs

Brazil was represented by 41 brands at Coterie New York 2025, one of the leading women’s fashion and accessories trade shows in the United States, in September. The participation was made possible by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), and marked a historic achievement: it was the largest Brazilian delegation ever present at the fair and the 3rd largest international delegation at the event, reinforcing the presence and relevance of Brazilian fashion on the global stage.

US$1.7 million in immediate business was recorded, with an expectation of US$4.1 million in sales over the next 12 months. In total, 1,238 new contacts were made with international buyers, expanding opportunities for national brands in the North American market.

“We have been participating in Coterie for 20 years and we know that it is a continuous work of building and consolidating the market, which is already bringing important results for companies,” highlights Lilian Kaddissi, Superintendent of Marketing and Business at Abit.

Some companies had the support of Abit and others belonged to partner entities such as Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers), Abicalçados (Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries) and IBGM (Brazilian Institute of Gems and Precious Metals).

Another group of Brazilian brands also recorded good business at the September edition of Première Vision Paris with consistent commercial results and relevant insights for improving future international promotion actions. Considered one of the main global showcases of the textile and creative fashion industry, the fair brings together buyers, brands, designers and suppliers from around the world twice a year at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte, in the French capital.

In this edition, Brazil was represented by 12 companies, which presented their creative and sustainable solutions in the segments of fabrics, leather, printing, accessories, and garment manufacturing services. In total, USD 268,000 in immediate business was generated, with an expectation of an additional USD 1.18 million in the next 12 months.
