Yeşim Group Marks Sustainability Month with Sixth Sustainability Festival

Yeşim Group brought employees together around sustainability throughout September, culminating in the sixth edition of its Sustainability Festival.

A Month of Sustainability in Action

As part of its annual Sustainability Month in September, Yeşim Group organised a programme designed to strengthen sustainability awareness and embed the company’s values in everyday working life. The programme included talks, training sessions, a documentary screening, a swap event, quizzes, workshops, and physical and mental well-being activities. Employees had the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and take part in activities that connected sustainability with daily choices.

Recognising Sustainability Efforts

The awards ceremony recognized employees who completed the Sustainability Education and Development Programme and the Corporate Transformation for Personal Development Programme. Teams whose sustainability initiatives achieved success on national and international platforms also received the Sustainability Honor Award.

Making Sustainability Part of Everyday Life

The month concluded with Yeşim Group’s sixth Sustainability Festival. In his opening remarks, Mutlu Toksöz, Yeşim Group Sustainability Director at, highlighted the value of making sustainability a shared, practical experience:

“Experiencing sustainability together across many different topics is extremely valuable for our company. At first glance, sustainability can seem like a very broad and challenging issue. We talk about climate change, water, energy, waste and recycling. But sustainability is, in fact, the sum of the small decisions we make in our daily lives: avoiding unnecessary consumption, disposing of waste correctly and not wasting energy. Most importantly, it means doing these things together and turning them into habits. At this festival, we want employees to explore activities that raise awareness of sustainability and, above all, enjoy taking part.”

Embedding Sustainability in Corporate Culture

Dilek Cesur, Corporate Communications Director at Yeşim Group, emphasised that the company’s values must be reflected in its culture and everyday actions:

“Our corporate culture is built on four core values: We Work with a Passion for Performance, We Walk Together with Our Customers, We Succeed Together, and Sustainability Is Our Priority. It is important to us that these values go beyond words and become an integral part of our culture. Throughout the year, we organise activities that bring our employees together around these values, and the Sustainability Festival is an important part of that approach. For six years, we have used the festival to strengthen sustainability awareness together with our employees. We also value bringing sustainability back into the public conversation. Taking a pioneering role, demonstrating leadership and inspiring other companies are important parts of our responsibility. We will continue working to raise awareness and inspire action on sustainability.”

Activities Bring Sustainability Month to a Close

Following the opening speeches, awards were presented to employees who reported occupational health and safety risks and to the winners of the sustainability quiz. Competitions, games and other activities continued throughout the day, bringing the Sustainability Month programme to a close.
