Interloop Becomes Pakistan’s First Large-Scale Enterprise with Approved Science Based Targets
Interloop Limited today announced Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation on the company’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. This milestone is a major move for Interloop on its mission to lighten its impact as the company moves toward decarbonisation.
This includes 51% reduction in direct emissions (Scope 1), indirect emissions (Scope 2) in line with 1.5 °C pathway, and a 30% reduction in emissions along its value chain (Scope 3) by 2032.
“We have significantly ramped up our investment in clean energy and continuous processimprovement to reach our targets,” says Navid Fazil, CEO at Interloop. “With rigorous emissions tracking and transparent reporting, we are determined to confront challenges head-on and make substantial progress along the way.”
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company, including:
