Inexmoda internationalizes its commitment in Ecuador

Ecuador has been one of Inexmoda’s key destinations, where the institution has come to share its knowledge with businessmen and consumers who are part of the industry. The strengthening, growth, and transformation of the Fashion System entrepreneur is one of the objectives for which Inexmoda works in Latin America through its events, projects, and consultancies that are committed to updating and knowledge.

As proof of the above, the Ecuadorian industry can now access Fashion Snoops, a fashion forecasting platform, thanks to partnership with Inexmoda, representative for its commercialization in Latin America. In this context, the institute held the seventh edition of the Ecuador Fashion Tour, an updating event aimed at entrepreneurs of the sector, where conferences on Spring-Summer 2019 Fashion Trends were presented, and digital opportunities and new forms of consumption were explored.

During 2018, Inexmoda will continue to participate actively in various academic and commercial events, trade shows that contribute to the sector’s development in the region. That is why the Institute is committed to participation in trade shows such as Ecuatextil, an event that took place from April 18-20 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in which Inexmoda had two conferences focused on training entrepreneurs in Autumn-Winter 2018/2019 fashion trends, and retail opportunities such as the design of omni-channel strategies.

“Inexmoda highlights the Ecuadorian participation in the textile clothing industry, due to its constant development and the interest of different brands to continue evolving, in terms of production and presence of large retailers, mainly in Quito and Guayaquil.”This was stated by Lorenzo Velásquez, director of the Research and Innovation Lab of Inexmoda.

Between both countries there is a constant commercial relationship surrounding textiles and clothing, thanks to Ecuador’s use of a high percentage of Colombian human capital, showing a high level of experience that is migrating to transfer knowledge. By way of illustration, trade shows such as Colombiatex and Colombiamoda combined show the presence of more than 400 Ecuadorian entrepreneurs among buyers and exhibitors.
