WGSN signs two important partnerships with CITC China & Itochu Fashion Systems Japan

In the past few days we have progressed two very important partnerships in Asia-Pacific and I would like to share them with you.

WGSN-CTIC, China

Yesterday we had the signing ceremony for our Joint Venture in China with CTIC, which is landmark moment in our development in China. WGSN claimed its first client in China in 2015 and has since achieved around 500 clients in China in partnership with CTIC for a significant part of that journey. The ceremony took place just before WGSN and CTIC shared the main stage at Cannes Lions with other guests to discuss the disruption of colour, with CTIC covering some unique solutions to accelerate and innovate the use of colour in our industries.

Creating a long-term partnership with CTIC as experts in the China market, with all the connections that they bring, is crucial to the development of our business in that unique and powerful market. In parallel, WGSN’s domain expertise plus its influence among its thousands of clients outside China provides a unique platform to bring CTIC’s product innovations in colour solutions as well as its enormous library of fabrics to businesses outside China.

WGSN-Itochu Fashion Systems, Japan
Around a week ago, we also completed the channel partnership agreement with IFS in Japan (you will have heard me to refer to them on the last Townhall video from APAC). IFS is a global operation dedicated to servicing brands in the apparel and style industries who want to trade in Japan. They have a track record as a channel partner with Stylesight and we are delighted to bring them back on board as our partner in Japan.

IFS, and its mother company Itochu Corporation, bring immense influence and deep connections in the Japan market and they will help us investigate and develop more local content and consulting solutions so we can serve Japanese clients better.
