Taipei IN Style (TIS) made its debut in 2006, and it is in the celebration of the 10th anniversary this year in 2015. TIS has been building a perfect platform for launching new collections and trading for Taiwanese and international fashion designers and brands. Since the TIS changed to take place twice a year and relocated in the new creative hub of Taipei- “Songshan Cultural and Creative Park” last year, the new planning and the old warehouse-like venue have made the event more compelling and attracted diverse brands to participate. The recent closing of the TIS spring edition on April 12 showed that the TIS was versatile and thoroughly planned with 115 brands and 95 booths, and approximately over 10,000 visitors to the event during the 4-day exhibition.
In the spring event, the TIS organized 7 fashion shows and 4 seminars. One fashion shows was presented by the British Council, including 9 different British apparel and accessories brands. Others were by the Taiwan’s womenswear brands “Athena Chuang”, “Madammay”, “Hong Chubby” as well as “Yen Line and Alexander King Chen.” Besides the shows, the TIS seminar also invited speakers specializing in various fields of the fashion industry. Their topics such as successful entry in the US market, marketing strategies of Japanese select shops, and sustainable fashion were covered in the different sessions. Furthermore, the composition of high caliber brands attracted buyers from Korea’s Hyundai Department Store and Japan’s PARCO and Barney’s NY as well as many boutique owners from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. The matchmaking helped broaden brands’ connections with potential buyers and geared up for the sales.
Taipei IN Style is dedicated to promote the competence of Taiwan’s fashion design among emerging designers and established brands. It always holds the belief of continuously bringing the best show to audience and creating maximum business opportunity for both exhibitors and buyers. The next fall/winter edition is going to take place from November 12 to 15. The organizer anticipates more than 200 booths, 10 fashion shows, and 10+ countries to join. It will be more fruitful and exciting. For further details, please visit TIS at www.taipeiinstyle.com
