This seminar covered all the latest developments and regulations on product safety and restricted substances both in the USA and in the European Union. A perfect opportunity for American apparel companies doing business in Europe and European companies working in the US market to get a in depth update. This seminar was organized by the IAF in cooperation with the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) and MODINT (Dutch trade association for fashion and (interior) textiles.)

The next IAF Regional Seminar will be held on May 21st, 2008, at the IAF Secretariat in Zeist, the Netherlands. This all day seminar is entitled Fast Fashion and is organized in cooperation with Industry Forum (UK) and MODINT BV (NL).

Our first IAF Regional Seminar was held in London on June 13th in the office of our member BCIA in close cooperation with Industry Forum. Some 40 attendees, mainly from the British apparel chain, were listening to contributions on the seminar theme " Green & Ethical fashion" by representatives of Nike Emea Region, Walmart, WRAP and TTF. The delegate responses to the questionnaire were extremely good with all delegates saying that the event was worthwhile and they would attend another. The average rating for speakers was 7,5 which is a good result.
