ORIGIN AFRICA is both an event and an ongoing effort dedicated to improving African Cotton, Textile and

Apparel trade. It involves collaboration with producers across the cotton value chain from farm to fashion including accessories suppliers, home textile and décor to develop, guide and promote African trade. The event will highlight the creativity and innovation of the African cotton, textile and clothing industries, with a specific focus on business, trade and investment – regional and international – capturing the spirit, styleand innovation of modern Africa.

The next ORIGIN AFRICA event will take place from the 10th -12th November, 2014 at the InterContinental, Nairobi, Kenya and will be the largest cotton, textile & apparel event in the region. It is profiled to raise awareness of Africa as a place to do business and as a sourcing destination.

ORIGIN AFRICA looks to change perceptions about Africa and to make the value chain on the continent more visible as a source of supply of cotton, textile and apparel products for the domestic, regional and international markets.

ORIGIN AFRICA will encompass a Trade Expo, Seminars, B2B Meetings and a Designer Fashion Showcase. The targeted participants are from: Cotton, Fibre, Yarn & Textiles, Apparel & Fashion, Home Textiles & Décor, and Accessories sectors; Support Agencies; Investment Agencies; Export Agencies; Textile Machinery/Technology Suppliers; National Delegations; and Country Pavilions.

This must attend event will include guests from press, brands, sourcing agents, investors as well as industry influencers and insiders who all have a mutual interest, involvement and focus to elevate the African cotton, textile and apparel industry.

ORIGIN AFRICA is for those who want to be part of the wider solution in raising Africa awareness and as the upcoming sourcing destination.
